2. Program Summary:

The American Center for Education (ACE) offers a package of courses designed to prepare students for the The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination. The A-Level academic qualification is offered to students by examination boards in Singapore and several other commonwealth countries, including the United Kingdom. Here in Singapore, the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) jointly conduct the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level examinations. Singaporean students usually sit for their O-Level examinations upon completion of Junior Colleges in Singapore, when they are eighteen years old.

Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) which is conducted jointly by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).

The GCE A-Level certificate is a qualification recognized internationally and valued by universities and employers alike. It allows students to gain an entry into local and overseas universities for their further education.

O levels (minimum 3 Passes) or Year 10 completion or equivalent

Age Requirement:

Minimum age: 17

English Requirements:

A minimum pass (C6) or better for O Level English or Year 10 Englishu003cbru003epass or Pass in ACE online English Placement Test or its equivalent or above

4. Total Course Duration/Instruction Hours:

Full Time: 24 Months/1440 hours, 5 sessions per week x 3 hours

Part Time: 36 Months/1080 hours, 2 sessions per week x 4 hours

8. Graduation Requirement:

The student is required to complete 5 subjects.

70% Class participation/topic discussion, quiz

30% Mid-term/presentation
