EduTrust Certification Scheme

The EduTrust Certification Scheme (EduTrust) is a quality assurance scheme administered and governed by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) for Private Education Institutions (PEIs) in Singapore. The SSG functions independently as the regulatory authority of the private education industry in Singapore and is responsible for all decisions under the EduTrust Certification Scheme. SSG aims to raise the standards of the industry to ensure PEIs provide a higher standard of educational services and good student/ graduate outcomes.

EduTrust Certification Scheme Criteria

There are seven criteria under the EduTrust Certification Scheme. Each criterion has a set of sub-criteria and items, with statements specifying the requirements of each item. For more information on the criteria, students may visit the SSG website at https://www.ssg-wsg.gov.sg/

Types of EduTrust Certification Awards

PEIs may qualify for one of the following EduTrust certification awards depending on the scores they obtained under the EduTrust. The scores reflect how well EduTrust requirements were met.

EduTrust Star

EduTrust		EduTrust Star (750 points and above)

Award is given to PEIs for attaining a commendable level of performance in managing their institutions and providing an outstanding quality of education and welfare for their students. This mark is a symbol of recognition for outstanding achievement. The EduTrust Star has a validity of up to four years.
EduTrust

EduTrust2		EduTrust (600 to 749 points)

Award is given to PEIs for sustaining an excellent level of performance in managing their institutions and providing high quality education standards and welfare for their students. The EduTrust has a validity of up to four years.
EduTrust Provisional

EduTrust3		EduTrust Provisional (500 to 599 points)

Award is given to PEIs that have attained a minimum level of performance in key areas of administration and provision of educational services. The EduTrust Provisional has a validity of up to one year.

In accepting the award, the PEI acknowledges the need for improvements to meet the level of performance expected of the four-year EduTrust award in its existing management practices and service provisions, and strives to achieve this.
