Policy Document: Student & Alumni Referral Reward Scheme
1. Purpose & Objective
The Student & Alumni Referral Reward Scheme recognizes and rewards existing students and graduates who recommend prospective learners to the American Center for Education (ACE). This policy establishes transparent, equitable guidelines for eligibility, disbursement, and institutional compliance under Committee for Private Education (CPE) standards.
2. Reward Structure
-
Referral Incentive Amount: S$200 per successful student enrollment.
-
Disbursement Method: Electronic Fund Transfer (PayNow / Direct Bank Transfer) or Account Credit processed by the ACE Finance Department.
-
Volume Limits: There is no cap on the number of prospective candidates an eligible referrer may introduce.
3. Eligibility Criteria
3.1. The Referrer (Source)
To qualify for the referral reward, the referrer must satisfy all the following criteria at the time of submission:
-
Enrolled Student Status: Currently enrolled in an active, full-time or part-time academic programme at ACE with tuition accounts in good standing; OR
-
Alumni Status: Successfully graduated from an accredited Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma, Degree Pathway, or Postgraduate programme at ACE.
-
Institutional Staff Exclusion: Full-time staff, part-time instructors, contracted education recruitment agents, and commercial aggregators are strictly excluded from participating in this student referral scheme.
3.2. The Referred Candidate (Referee)
-
Must be a new applicant who has not previously submitted an application, inquiry form, or enrollment file to ACE within the preceding 12 months.
-
Must successfully apply, meet institutional entry requirements, sign the standard PEI-Student Contract, and pay the initial instalment of course tuition fees.
-
Must complete the statutory 7-working-day cooling-off period and commence classes with a recorded attendance compliant with ICA / CPE norms.
4. Terms and Conditions
-
Strict “No Discount” Policy:
-
The referral scheme offers a post-enrollment cash reward to the referrer; it does not constitute, provide, or warrant any tuition fee discount, rebate, waiver, or reduction for the incoming student.
-
The referred student must pay all approved course fees in full in accordance with the official ACE course fee schedule and Schedule B/C of their signed PEI-Student Contract.
-
-
Official Fee Payment Channel Integrity:
-
Referrers are strictly prohibited from receiving, handling, or collecting tuition payments, registration fees, or deposits on behalf of candidates.
-
All course fees must be paid directly to the official ACE bank account or the Finance Department cash/card counter.
-
-
Prior Registration Requirement:
-
The referrer must be formally named in the candidate’s initial Application Form or have a submitted Referral Registration Form on file with Student Admissions prior to the issuance of the formal Letter of Acceptance (LOA). Retrospective referral claims submitted after contract execution will not be honored.
-
-
Single-Referral Attribution:
-
Only one referrer may be credited per incoming student. In the event of dual claims, attribution defaults to the referrer explicitly documented in the candidate’s initial signed application.
-
-
Withdrawal and Cancellation Contingency:
-
If the referred candidate cancels their enrollment during the statutory cooling-off window or exercises a full refund under Clause 2.4 of the PEI-Student Contract before course commencement, the referral incentive will not be payable.
-
5. Operational Workflow & Disbursement Process
-
Submission: Prospective applicant enters the Referrer’s Full Name, Student ID / Contact Details, and Programme on the ACE Application Form.
-
Verification: Admissions cross-references the referrer’s active student record or alumni graduation ledger.
-
Validation Milestone: Following module commencement, completion of the cooling-off period, and confirmation of fee clearance, the Student Services team issues a Referral Reward Claim Form.
-
Disbursement: The Finance Department remits the S$200 reward within 30 calendar days of validation via registered bank transfer.
6. Regulatory & Compliance Notice
-
ACE reserves the right to audit claims and disqualify any submission involving misleading statements, false identities, or collusion.
-
In line with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the referrer must obtain prior consent from the candidate before sharing contact particulars with the ACE Admissions Office.
-
ACE management retains final administrative discretion regarding the interpretation and execution of these terms.
